Abercrombie collections are produced quarterly. The Summer 2010 is a great quarter for the apparel company, who has released six new collections for the quarter in the men’s department. Each collection has a specific style and taste for different occasions.
“Up All Night” is the first collection put out for Summer 2010. The top for this collection is actually an assembly of three different tops. There is a V-neck at the core, with a classic plaid shirt over that. A rugged hooded jacked is placed over the ensemble. To finish off the look, a pair of brown cargo shorts fit to make a casual yet stylish appearance.
“Making Moves” is the next collection that boasts a preppy and clean look. Being rather simple, it consists of a polo shirt with navy blue and white stripes as a top. The bottoms are a pair of wrinkled, dark grey jeans. Together the two make a clean appearance for around $130 total. This collection is perfect for semi-fancy occasions.
Plaid is definitely the “in” look. The “Cabrewing” collection takes advantage of this trend by putting a plaid shirt in with a pair of khaki shorts and a leather belt. This design is meant more for the outdoors types, or at least those who want to look like they frequent the outdoors. This collection is expensive, coming in over at $100 in total for all of the pieces, but it’s also a piece that few others will have.
“Stealing Home” is a new-age look that doesn’t include a top, but a jacket and a pair of shorts. The dark jacket is something you would see most men wear in casual settings, while the shorts are patterned and light grey. When put together the collection gives off a look of a preppy version of rap apparel. The jacket might not be best suited for the Summer months, but looks great when the temperature starts dropping in the Fall.
Going into college for the first time? You will want to dress the part. A college student should be prepared to dress comfortably above all else, something the “Beer Run” collection is most geared towards. This collection by Abercrombie focuses on comfort, with an undershirt, a plaid over shirt, and a set of denim shorts. It isn’t stunning by any means, but it is surely comfortable and acceptable for wearing around university.
